I always thought that all golf gloves were created equal… until I found the Bionic golf glove.

My father-in-law (who happens to be a 7 handicap) gave me my first Bionic golf glove for Christmas back in 2017. I was shocked at how much easier it was to grip the golf club with this glove.

If you’re on the fence about giving the Bionic golf glove a shot, we hope this review will provide you with the necessary information you need to make a decision.

Note: This review will focus on the ReliefGrip version of the Bionic golf glove, but you can Bionic’s full lineup of gloves here.

Overall Rating and Thoughts

So, is the higher price worth it? Absolutely! The old saying “you get what you pay for” is usually spot on, and it rings true in the case of the Bionic golf glove. This glove has a ton of incredible features, so don’t let the higher cost deter you from trying it out.

Before I found the Bionic golf glove, I was a big fan of Footjoy gloves. While I’d still say that Footjoy makes a solid golf glove, it doesn’t provide nearly as many positive features as the Bionic. I’ll be buying Bionic golf gloves for as long as I can swing a golf club, which will hopefully be another 40+ years.

I rate the Bionic golf glove at 4.8 out of 5 stars for a whole host of reasons. I’m still amazed at how much this golf glove has decreased my hand pain during the thick of golf season. I’m a full-time writer by trade, so I know all about having nagging aches and pains in the hand and wrist areas.

Thanks to the Bionic golf glove, I no longer have to ice my hands after a long day on the course. That’s something that would never have been possible without this terrific golf glove.

I also love how easy the Bionic golf glove makes it to grip the club. Before finding the Bionic, I sometimes struggled with the club handle slipping out of my hand after impact. That never happens with the Bionic, even in rainy conditions.

Whether you’re a golfer who struggles with hand pain or someone who’s just looking for a golf glove to promote a better grip, we think you’ll be more than pleased with the Bionic golf glove.

While there are lots of reputable golf glove manufacturers on the market, they have yet to undergo as intense of a research and development process as the Bionic.

These premium golf gloves were designed by one of the top orthopedic hand specialists in the world. How many other brands out there can make that bold claim?

This means golfers can have peace of mind knowing they’re getting a high-quality product. Bionic uses a blend of leather and spandex. Both of these materials work together to give golfers all over the world a glove that is comfortable and highly durable.

Bionic golf gloves have been around for almost 50 years and were initially made to help golfers with arthritis improve their play. Each glove comes with extra padding around the thumb and palm area. This gives golfers a more relaxed, secure grip on the club.

What I Like About The Bionic Golf Glove

There’s a lot to like about bionic golf gloves. With so many incredible features, it can be hard to narrow down which ones I like the most. However, I’ve tried to do so with the following list.

Extreme Comfort

Most 18-hole rounds take anywhere from 3 to 5 hours, which is why finding a comfortable golf glove is so essential. The Bionic is hands down the most comfortable golf glove I’ve ever worn.

No Blisters

This fits into the comfort category, but I thought it deserved recognition. I’ve tried some of the cheaper golf gloves on the market and still wound up with blisters after a long round. That hasn’t ever happened with the Bionic golf glove.

Less Hand Pain

This one is a biggie! If you’ve ever played several rounds of golf in a short period, you’ve probably experienced some aches and pains in your hands. I’ve noticed that the extra padding of the Bionic golf glove provides enough shock absorption to limit hand pain.

Better Grip

Bionic golf gloves have just the right amount of tack in the palm and fingers. This makes it easier than ever to grip the golf club. Remember, the grip is the most important part of the golf swing because it’s the only link between you and the club.

Durability

I’ve noticed that the Bionic golf glove holds up unbelievably well. I play quite a bit of golf in the spring and summer months and can usually get 3 to 4 months of use out of one Bionic glove.

Superb Fit

I have pretty large hands, which means it’s challenging to find a golf glove that doesn’t feel too tight through the fingers and palm. That’s not the case at all with the Bionic golf glove. Once I fasten the velcro snap, the glove feels fantastic and fits perfectly.

Remember, when fitting yourself for a golf glove, you want to find one that fits snugly but so tight that it’s uncomfortable.

Made of High-Quality Materials

Bionic doesn’t skimp on the quality of its materials. Each golf glove is made of the right combination of Cabretta leather and spandex. The leather is tough and holds up incredibly well, while the spandex stretches just enough to provide you with a little extra comfort.

Bionic also adds a LightPrene material near the bottom of the thumb for even more wrist support.

Better Grip Pressure

Each Bionic golf glove is designed with an Anatomical Relief Pad System. This even distributes your grip pressure throughout the hand instead of allowing it to bind up in 1 or 2 areas. The result is less tiredness and even more hand strength.

Keeps Your Hand Dry

Have you ever tried to swing a golf club with any amount of wetness on your hands? It’s nearly impossible! You won’t have to worry about that with the Bionic golf glove. It’s made with a breathable Lycra material that keeps your hand dry and free of sweat.

What I Dislike About the Bionic Golf Glove

As you can probably tell by now, I love this golf glove. It has lots of outstanding features and has made an enormous difference in my game. That being said, there’s no such thing as a perfect product.

The only negative about the Bionic golf glove is the steep price. It can be tough to shell out over $25 for one of these bad boys when other brands on the market are selling them for around $9. That’s obviously a substantial difference, even for an incredible product.

No matter how great a product is, it always hurts to pay nearly triple the price of other available options. That being said, I still highly recommend giving this golf glove a shot. Most of the higher cost is offset by the high level of durability that the Bionic golf glove provides.
