Hey, I’m August.
I was able to take 15 strokes off my handicap in less than 2 years with absolutely no coaching. It took hard work, countless hours at the range, and hundreds of mental breakdowns, but was all worth it when I started to become known as the “golf guy” that all my friends wanted to play with.
On my journey I learned a lot. I read golf books, studied hours of swings (including my own), and was constantly developing my mental game.
But the #1 thing I learned is…. I DID A LOT OF THINGS WRONG.
While I got phenomenal results, it took me outrageously longer than it should have. I wasted countless hours on things that were hardly improving my game.
So I set out on a mission to figure out what drills, tips, and equipment had made the biggest impact on my game in the shortest amount of time. The (80/20) rule as they say.
Two months later I created Golf Workout Program (or GWP for short).
Fast forward a couple of years later and we reach hundreds of thousands of golfers every month and have a team of incredible people creating amazing training programs and free helpful guides on this site.
Who are these great folks who write for GWP? Let’s meet them…
